Five years ago, I became a Chartered Accountant. Having managed businesses for over 8 years, I was surprised to see how much time skilled finance and accounting professionals spend on simple but boring tasks. I wondered: Why study for years only to spend most of your day copying and pasting data in Excel?
What surprised me more was how many of my fellow Chartered Accountants were okay with this. Not me. I knew I had to find a better way to get rid of these dull tasks and avoid making simple mistakes on important work.
I started looking into automation solutions and joined a global project. This led to me winning the Global Business Solutions Innovation Award with Pfizer and getting mentioned in the Accountancy Ireland magazine.
Now, I lead a team of developers and accountants. We work on making business operations smoother and faster.
